April 20, 2009 – Lodovica Illari visits Millersville to discuss progress this semester and a possible extension of the Weather in a Tank to include a modeling component – read Lodo’s report.
Apr 15, 2009 John Marshall, Lodovica Illari from MIT and Amala Mahadevan from BU attended Amit Tandon’s seminar entitled “The ocean: from rotating fluid to blooming planktons” as part of the  Building New Bridges” Colloquium  series, organized by the Chancellor of UMass Dsee more.

March 30, 2007 –  John Marshall and Lodovica Illari visited Amit Tandon at UMass-Dartmouth.
Amit has been making much use of the lab experiments in his Physics 300, Physics Seminar class. We gave a class to Amit’s students on the Ekman layer carrying out an Ekman experiment with the rotating table and making connections to atmospheric data.

We checked the apparatus and Amit demonstrated how he is using a Mac computer to record experiments.
